PHAROS Cultural Association (12/03/2009)

PHAROS Cultural Association, in its charter states that its purpose is to present and project through artistic practices and the different cultural expressions, the thoughts that have been coexisting in societies and the history of civilizations. To get from the Association will organize seminars, workshops, lectures, roundtable discussions, Film, Theater, poetry, etc ....

The PHAROS cultural association named after the island in front of the city of Alexandria in Egypt, which was built in ancient Alexandria lighthouse .

Y. .. PHAROS why?

Why headlights look, guide, illuminate and endure. The headlights are also life.

observe, learn and analyze.

Counsel: assist in all cultural and social struggles.

Illuminate: why cast light unveil roads and, sometimes, the light is also fighting and is also life.

resist, both the waves and storms and therefore are a symbol of resistance.

And we PHAROS Cultural Association, unpretentious and with different sensibilities but with a common goal, we are born with the desire to contribute, collaborate and help from rationality, criticism and analysis, and using the different cultural expressions, to transform, through culture, this society unjust, unequal, conformity and resignation.

The struggle and resistance are, therefore, symbols of our Cultural Association.
